Irving Fall 2006 Tour - Portland to Seattle

The drive to Seattle was very pretty. Leaves on trees were bright orange and yellow. On the way, we met up for an impromptu freestyle with the Go ghettaz. And then tensions began to run high. By the time we were heading towards the Paradox (a venue that was more a cross between an industrial park and a church than a rock club), it looked like the band might fall to pieces. But the show ended up being really fun. Thanks to everyone for coming out.

Irving Fall 2006 Tour - Los Angeles to Portland

We left Los Angeles for Portland at around 9 a.m. Steven usually drives the first leg all the way up to Granzelmos, where he finishes his shift off with a beer and seasonal sports scores. Brent takes the wheel from there through the mountains. We always look forward to Portland, as we get to see our good friends Ashod and Erin, Matt and Elise, and baby Olive. This time around we played at the Towne Lounge (town is towne in Portland), a mortuary half-converted into a club.

Irving Fall 2006 Tour - Rehearsal

In Irving, we practice quite a bit. We also get a lot of song requests that we can’t fulfill live. So for this tour, we locked ourselves up in the studio to get some of these songs off the ground. Here’s a snapshot of our exacting rehearsal process.
